elcome
to "Paradise Properties" on the island of St. Croix in
our U.S. Virgin Islands, otherwise known as America's
Paradise. Now that you have discovered one of the Caribbean's
best-kept secrets, you have undoubtedly fallen in love
as I did thirty-six years ago. Not much has changed in those years, thank goodness. The water is crystal clear,
the air is fresh, and the predominantly Danish architecture
is charming and unique. Our harbor in the main town of
Christiansted is by far the most beautiful in the Caribbean,
and the landscape hasn't changed over the past 200 years.
Living in old world charm and having all the conveniences
of the modern world is truly a privilege. We have a casino,
two K Marts, movie theaters, and a bowling alley. Sail
to Buck Island a national park with fantastic snorkeling
trails for both the experienced and novice snorkelers.
Dive some of the deepest and most popular dive spots in
the Caribbean particularly "the wall" off of Cane Bay
Beach, or a night dive off the pier in Frederiksted. Ecology
is huge here and you will find biking and hiking amidst
historic ruins or the rain forest most enjoyable, even
bird watching sanctuaries for those looking for quiet
enjoyment. Clearly St. Croix is the best of both worlds.
We remain relatively undeveloped and have lots of open
space. Exploring the island by driving around in a rental
car is an easy way to go, but remember to "stay left".
Christiansted is not grid locked with traffic as we don't
have a dozen cruise ships daily, and when ships come in
to St. Croix they arrive at our open port of Frederiksted
on the west end of the island. The shopping is great,
not riddled with souvenir and tshirt shops, but better
suited for those in search of finding unique items and
hand made jewelry- all duty free. St. Croix is also home
to the best rum you'll ever drink, Cruzan rum. Take a
tour of the rum factory and you'll get to sample this
local favorite. The weather is as near perfect as one
could wish for. The average temperature is 80 year round
with soothing trade wind breezes to keep you comfortable.
So, what are you waiting for!
Once you have previewed St. Croix, perhaps on a cruise,
you will no doubt want to return. You will do well by
renting a villa or home in St. Croix's finest neighborhoods.
As your Broker in Paradise, "Paradise Properties" is St.
Croix's full service real estate firm having the capacity
to handle all your real estate needs, from your vacation
plans to second home investments. Most importantly is
the fact that St. Croix is a safe haven for investing
as we are protected under the American flag.
